You will have to develop mantras for yourself to keep motivated. Like Dory says, “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.” You will need to just keep going, also. Keep moving through the material. Don’t get bogged down in trying to make the perfect outline or knowing everything before you do practice. You won’t have time for that. This is different from law school.
Put all of your energy into each task that you are doing, and then move on to the next task. The pace at which you are moving through doctrine will feel fast, but that’s ok. You will work through the material through practice questions, periodic review, and then memorization in the last few weeks. Everything you do now will help you understand and internalize the material. But if you get too stuck on one topic, you won’t have time to do everything you need to do.
